Borrowing Policies
Loyola students, faculty, and staff may check out up to 500 books at a time. Alumni and visiting scholars may check out up to 100 items at a time. Materials from the general collection of the University Libraries circulate as follows:

Renewals
Renew materials online using My Library Account.
General collection materials may be renewed as often as needed, provided they are not overdue and no one has placed a recall on the items. Materials may be renewed online or in person at any of the libraries' circulation desks. For in-person renewals, a current, valid ID must be presented.
Audiovisual Materials
Materials from the AV Collection (videos and DVDs) can be checked out for 5 days, except for "room use" materials which may be checked out for 4 hours. For more information, see Audiovisual Services.
Course Reserves
Course Reserves are educational materials that have been set aside and made available for specific classes, and have shorter borrowing periods and different renewal policies. See Course Reserves for more information.
