Room Reservations

There are a variety of spaces in the University Libraries which may be reserved for use, including study carrels, group study rooms, classrooms, and event spaces. Please see individual policies below.

See Cudahy Library Floor Maps for the exact location of these facilities within the library.

Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms at Cudahy Library are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be reserved for a period of 2 hours. To reserve a room, go to the Cudahy Circulation Desk. At least two Loyola IDs must be presented at the time of checkout.

Graduate Study Lounges (3rd Floor)

A key may be checked out at the Cudahy Circulation Desk by any graduate student. Keys will open either of the graduate lounges on the 3rd floor.

Graduate Study Carrels

A limited number of study carrels are available to PhD candidates doing dissertation research. Carrels are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is typically a waiting list. To inquire about availability, please contact David Schmidt.

Cudahy Theater (Room 318)

The Cudahy Theater is considered a classroom and must be reserved via Campus Reservations. Search for “CL 318”.

Donovan Reading Room

The Donovan Reading Room is available for Loyola-related special events such as receptions. The room may be requested throughout the year, with the exception of final examination periods and three weeks preceding exams. For more information on making reservations, rental rates, and room capacity, please see the Donovan Reading Room Policy and Guidelines (PDF).
