Returning Items to a Circulation Desk

You can directly return items to the library at a circulation desk. If you are returning interlibrary loan (ILL) items, AV items, or course reserves, please return them to the same location and desk from which you borrowed them.

Returning Items to a Book Drop Box

Book drop boxes are available at the following locations:

• Cudahy Library: west exterior side of building near the emergency doors. Access is currently unavailable until further notice.
• Corboy Law Center (for Lewis Library and Law Library items): inside first floor near the north entrance.
• Information Commons: inside the west (main) entrance atrium.

We clear each drop box at least once per day on Monday-Friday. If you return an item to a drop box over the weekend, we may not check it in until Monday.

If you cannot access a specific drop box, or if the drop box is too full to insert any items, please contact us at CUD-CIRC@luc.edu.

Please note that you are responsible for any items in transit that you mail to us. We recommend using a shipping method with tracking information (such as USPS First-Class Mail) and purchasing shipping insurance.
