Computers & Technology

The University Libraries provide an array of state-of-the-art technology, equipment and applications available to the Loyola community. See Locations & Maps to view the exact locations of computer labs in the building. For immediate assistance with technology-related inquiries, visit one of the technology advisers staffing the Information Commons service desks or contact the ITS Service Desk for other technology-related support.


All computers have access to a standard suite of commonly used software (such as the Microsoft Office suite) as well as a wide range of teaching software and tools utilized by different departments and schools. See the Digital Media Lab's software applications list for all applications provided.


Laptops are available for check-out and use by Loyola students, faculty and staff to. Both Windows and Macintosh systems are available. For more information, see the Digital Media Labs equipment loan program.

Digital Media Services

Both the Information Commons and Lewis Library provide Digital Media Labs featuring a wide array of robust workstations, multimedia applications and technical support for working with digital images, audio, and video. The labs also offer a wide variety of equipment for check-out, including digital cameras, video cameras, iPads, and audio equipment. See Digital Media Services for more information.
