Most library materials in the Library Storage Facility in Sullivan Center are currently unavailable because mold was detected in the lower level of the building. Much of the Library Storage Facility will be inaccessible for an indeterminate amount of time while the area is remediated. We are actively working with the university facilities department to restore complete access as soon as possible. Recent items in the G-H call number ranges and dissertations are available to request.
How do I know if a book is in the Library Storage Facility?
All books in the Library Storage Facility are marked in the library catalog, as in this sample record:
What if I need a book that is located in the Library Storage Facility and is not available to request?
Materials held in the Library Storage Facility can be requested via interlibrary loan. You can link to interlibrary loan from a catalog record, or log in to the interlibrary loan system here: https://illiad.luc.edu/illiad/IAL/
What if I’m not able to get a copy through interlibrary loan, or the lending library cannot provide a long enough loan time for my needs?
Consult with your subject specialist librarian about alternative ways to get access to these materials. We will consider purchasing additional copies in certain situations. http://libraries.luc.edu/specialists
