Flash Seminars

Do you ever want to share your thoughts with students about current news stories, interesting cultural references, or just quirky stuff that interests you?

Flash Seminars offer faculty the opportunity to create a unique learning experience for the students outside of the classroom. All you need to do is prepare a short informal talk (about 15 minutes long) and then open the floor for discussion. The seminars are held in a public space, similar to a Speakers' Corner. The Libraries will take care of setting up the space, including any technology set-up, and promoting the seminar.

Do you have an idea for a Flash Seminar? Contact Paul Voelker (pvoelke@luc.edu) with your topic. We are particularly interested in topics that relate to current events on campus, locally, and globally. We don’t need a lot of notice and will work with you on dates and times.
