Community members can check in to the Information Commons and Cudahy Library from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday. You will need a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) to enter. Access is unavailable at Lewis Library and during semester final exam periods. For more details about access, please see our Access & Usage Policy.

Loyola alumni can enter the Information Commons, Cudahy Library, and Lewis Library by presenting their Alumni Card. Please see Services for Alumni for more details.

Friends of the Libraries members have access to the Information Commons, Cudahy Library, and Lewis Library, as well as book borrowing privileges.

Researchers who are conducting work in libraries with restricted public access may be eligible for an InfoPass referral. Please see InfoPass Policy for more details.

Students and Faculty from Other Institutions

We have reciprocal library privileges with numerous local and peer institutions. Please see Reciprocal Borrowing for more details.

Visiting Scholars

Scholars who are visiting Loyola on a long-term basis to work with a faculty member or department can request a guest card and borrowing privileges. The Dean or department chair should submit an email request to Chris Martin (Head of Access Services).
