Request Materials
AV materials must be used for education purposes in the classroom unless a Public Performance license has been obtained.
Requests for audiovisual materials (VHS, DVD) are processed Monday - Friday between 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Orders placed before 4:00 pm Monday - Friday will be processed for pickup after 5:00 pm.
Any orders placed after 4:00 pm will be processed the following business day.
Due to the circulation of material between campuses please allow 2-3 business days to process requests for material at different campuses.
AV fines are $1.00 per day per overdue item. (Overdue fines may be waived for faculty.) Replacement cost and a processing fee will be charged for damaged or lost materials.
DVDs may be renewed via your online library "My Account" once for an additional 5 days as long as the item has not already been booked for a future screening- where you can now also view upcoming scheduled bookings.
Classroom use materials needed for student presentations should be emailed to lib-av@luc.edu by your professor.

Purchase Materials
To keep the collection current, materials are purchased for the collection on an ongoing basis. Loyola faculty members are encouraged to make suggestions for material that they feel would be useful in their teaching or that will be helpful to their students' independent study.
To suggest a title, please fill out the AV Purchase Request form. If you are requesting materials for use in a class for specific date, please make sure that this information is included on the form. Contact the AV Office with any questions.
Reserves
Faculty may request that certain materials be placed on Reserve for class assignments. These materials are then placed on Reserve for the duration of the semester.
To place materials on Reserve, submit a Reserve form using the online form or in-person at the Circulation Desk. (This is not the same procedure as making a request for AV titles to show in class. AV materials placed on Course Reserve will be available for students to view at the Circulation Desk on a first-come, first-served basis.)
View Materials
In the Library
There is a Media Viewing Room located on the lower level of Cudahy Library (map) which offers a number of viewing stations. Headphones are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk.
In the Classroom
Viewing equipment (VCR, DVD player, etc.) is arranged by ITS Digital Media Services, rather than the libraries. For information, contact the ITS Service Desk.
Theater for Class and Group Viewing
Cudahy Library features a 48-seat theater for group viewing of AV material. The Cudahy Theater is considered a classroom and must be reserved via Campus Reservations. Search for “CL 318”.
