Students, faculty, staff and alumni of Loyola University DO NOT need to provide location information when requesting materials through interlibrary loan from other institutions. You will find a full description of interlibrary loan polices under the Services section.

InfoPass-

The following Universities require an InfoPass to gain access to collections and resources not available at Loyola. The pass will allow Loyola patrons to use their resources only on-site, not to charge books from their libraries. The InfoPass can be obtained from any library reference desk during regular staffing hours.

*During the fall, winter and spring quarters, the Main Library is open to the general public Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5 P.M. and Saturday from 8:30 A.M. to 12 Noon. After those times, the InfoPass is needed for access.

 

For access to the library catalogs of 65 colleges and universities in Illinois, try I-Share.

 

Also, use WorldCat to access records of any type of material cataloged by OCLC member libraries.

 

For the Chicago Public Library collection check the CPL Catalog.

 

In addition, there are many Chicago area libraries that do provide access to the public, but are not borrowing instititutions. Please ask at the reference desk for further information.
