New Hires at Loyola University Libraries

Leslie Haas
Director, Information Commons
Leslie Haas, Director of the Information Commons, was hired in August 2007. Before moving to Chicago, Leslie was the head of the General Reference Department at the University of Utah's Marriott Library for 10 years. Leslie is originally from Boise, Idaho and has worked at Kent State University and Texas A&M University. Leslie received her MLS from the University of Arizona and has a degree in Business Administration from Boise State University. |
Fred Barnhart
Associate Dean for Library Services and Collections
Fred received a BA in Anthropology and East Asian Studies from Indiana University. While a student he studies a semester abroad in Hangzhou, China and then pursued his MLS. After library school, Fred studies law at Chicago-Kent College of Law where he also worked as a law librarian, Head of Reference Services, Associate Director, and as Interim Director. After Fred passed the Illinois Bar Exam, he clerked for a Cook County Circuit Court judge. He served as Associate Director of the Loyola Law Library before coming to Loyola University Libraries earlier this year. |
