What's Available
Each of the libraries provides public workstations where you can access Pegasus: the Online Catalog, the Internet, specialized research programs and associated tools. In addition, each library maintains Pegasus Express workstations, which offer direct access to the library catalog.
Identification Requirements
To use many of these work stations you will need to have an active Loyola Universal ID. If you don't have an active Universal ID, you may be logged on with a temporary guest ID, if you show your Loyola ID card. No ID is required to access the Pegasus Express workstations.
Usage Policies
Access and use of public-access workstations are available to students, faculty and staff to help them accomplish the following, in decreasing order of priority for resource allocation and scheduling:
- Course work and the university goals for students as presented in the Computers in Teaching and Learning document.
- Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate research.
- Research publishable under the name of the University, career placement, and other personal enrichment goals, including professional development.
Demand for access and use of public-access facilities may occasionally exceed available resources. In such cases, activities which are more essential to the University's mission in education and research will be given higher priority.
