Beginning June 1, 2008, the Cudahy Library and Klarchek Information Commons at the Lake Shore Campus will welcome guests who are members of the community. Guests over the age of 18 with valid photo IDs are welcome to use the Library and Information Commons during the following times:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please note that this policy does not apply to Lewis Library.
For more information about available services and resources guests are encouraged to ask at any of the Library or Information Commons Service Desks. Guests who wish to use the Internet may obtain a Guest Network Account at the Information Commons. The Guest Network Account allows limited access to the computer network and select electronic resources for two hours and may be renewed based on computer availability. Currently, we are unable to provide access to the wireless network to guest users.
Alumni with alumni cards continue to enjoy unrestricted access to all University Libraries, along with access to the computer network, Internet, and select electronic resources. Alumni’s computer access to the network is limited to 24 hours and must be renewed each time they visit the Information Commons or the University Libraries. Alumni should inquire at the Information Commons to learn more about computer network access and other services for Alumni. Currently, we are unable to provide access to the wireless network to Alumni.
Additional access restrictions may apply during final exams and the period of time preceding final exams.
